Annie
My Visit to Tranpose
I’ve been coming to Transpose in its previous incarnations for a while (even to Teela’s flat when the Shed was temporarily unavailable). However, my circumstances changed at the start of 2010 and dressing was no longer an option so Annie went back in the box apart from occasional online activity.
Happily, circumstances changed again in August and Annie could return so an appointment was made for a make-up lesson followed by a three star makeover at the new-to-me studio.
The day before the appointment I started choosing clothes and was horrified to discover how much weight I had put on since stopping dressing, as most of Annie’s dresses no longer fit, (diet starts tomorrow) as luck would have it, a PVC skating dress I had bought in the wrong size fitted quite well. I dashed off a quick e-mail to Teela saying we would need to raid the Transpose wardrobes.
On the day, I arrived early but Teela arrived just as I was getting out of the car and apologised for being later than usual due to doctor’s appointment.
We had a drink and caught up on old times, Teela was unwell hence the doctors appointment. We started with the make-up lesson but it changed into a refresher/tutorial as I was not as rusty as I had feared so Teela applied the make-up showing and explaining why as she went along.
Once I was made up, I got into my outfit and we did an experiment with portraiture, I was happy with the result and it may be added to the makeovers in future. We then dismantled the portrait setup and went back to the conventional photoshoot. Once we were finished with my outfit we had a look at the photographs so far and changed into one of the outfits Teela had selected took lots of photos and the same with the third outfit. We checked pictures again and while I changed back into “Bob” mode Teela burned the pictures onto DVD and printed out one of the portraits for the wall.
I had a great day and will be coming back for a future “Tea with Teela” when my waistline has been reduced by diet or a good corset. Hopefully Teela will be feeling better as well.
Another "Thank You"
Dear Teela-Jane
I realised the other day, just how talented you are, and why Transpose.tv is just the best transformation service. Sorry but it does take a while for things to sink into my head, but as I was looking back over my photos, I realised your real talent, I hope that the rest of the email goes some way to explaining it.
Its not only that you care about us, and understand us better than most, and manage a successful business providing fabulous services.
Its not only that you are an incredibly talented professional make up artist and a gift for understanding which clothes will suit and present us in a flattering light and help us to express our "femme" personalities so well.
Its not only that you are a patient, creative and brilliant photographer, with a first rate technical knowledge and loads of experience.
Its not just that you provide incredible value for money and an amazing number of pictures for us to bring home which bring back memories of wonderful days with you.
Its not only that you have genuine empathy with our different situations and provide support through "Tea with Teela" and other activities.
All are true, but I think that your gift to the tgirl community, and what sets you apart from the rest is that you visualise, the tgirl we could be, before we see it for ourselves, and share that vision with us, so that we can share it with others. I think that this is your real talent and why so many of us come back to you time and time again to enable you to create that "look!" that is uniquely us.
Thank you for seeing how Belinda could look, and creating these lovely images, and for giving me the confidence to enjoy being Belinda
Take care
Belinda
